DHL Boeing 767 Grounded at Karachi Airport after Collision

On 27th June 2025, a DHL cargo aircraft, Boeing 767, was hit by a loader truck at Karachi airport. The aircraft was parked at its designated parking stand when a loaded truck collided with the aircraft. The aircraft is a DHL Boeing 767-300ER freighter registered in Bahrain as A9C-DHAC. On June 27, it arrived in Karachi at 9:36 PM as flight ES205 from Muscat. The initial investigation stated that the failure of the truck brakes was a reason for the collision with the aircraft.

Certainly, no injuries were reported, but the regulatory authorities had taken this seriously due to potential operational disruptions and financial consequences. The aircraft has been grounded as detailed damage inspections are being carried out.

The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority has initiated a formal investigation report on this case to determine the cause and reason for this collision. The outcomes of this report will further help the ground handling agencies and the organisation working at the airside of the airport to avoid such incidents in the future.
